The Bible is holy. Period. You will never alter or change that reality. It doesn’t matter if those words are pixels on your Samsung screen or ink on paper—the words themselves are what carry God's breath.

To understand why the container doesn't change the message, look at Life Before the 19th Century: Because regular people did not own personal copies, church services relied heavily on listening, memorization, and repetition. Congregants stood for centuries because there were no pews, listened to the scripture read aloud from a single pulpit Bible, and memorized scripture by singing rhyming "Metrical Psalms".

Whether the King James Version is downloaded as an app on your phone or sitting as a leather book on your desk, the text is permanently holy all on its own. The raw words of God carry the authority—not the physical container they are placed in.

But a holy book does no good if the power stays locked on a shelf or a screen. Our actual job is to keep that holiness flowing through us and out into the world.

We become the vessels that carry His living truth by doing three simple things:

Reading It (80+ Verses): To get His holy words directly into our sight.
Memorizing It (100+ Verses): To lock His truth deeply into our thoughts and hearts.
Living It (300+ Verses): To let His character completely run our daily actions.

We don't give the Bible its life, but when we read it, memorize it, and actively live it, we keep its holiness flowing. That is how we teach others. Not just by shouting rules, but by letting a holy God change our lives right in front of them so they can see the proof.

Let’s keep the holiness flowing today!

Personal note: I don't bring my Bible or my phone to church anymore. It is just such a distraction for me, and I want to soak up every single word from the pulpit! Every time I look down at my Bible, I see my old notes, my sermon notes, highlights, or a scripture that reminds me of an upcoming lesson. Suddenly, I’ve just wasted time in God's House. And don't get me started on the phone—that is a whole different discourse!

Then there are the handouts. I love them because they keep me focused; however, I no longer fill in the blanks. Sometimes I can't hear which word goes in the blank, or I can't spell it. Now I'm sitting there trying to figure out how to spell it, and meanwhile the preacher is already halfway done. If you read this, you know it's true!
