When an individual or minister takes personal matters to social media instead of following Christ's clear instruction, they aren't engaging in biblical correction—they are participating in talebearing, gossip, and slander.
🚨 Biblical Qualifications for Pastoral Office (1 Timothy 3 & Galatians 6):
1️⃣ "Not a brawler" (1 Tim 3:3) — Refusing public fighting, digital squabbling, and contentious verbal attacks.
2️⃣ "Of good behaviour" (1 Tim 3:2) — Acting with dignity and restraint in all public and digital spaces.
3️⃣ "Blameless" (1 Tim 3:2) — Not giving reasonable cause for accusation through improper conduct or disorderly speech.
4️⃣ "Good report of them which are without" (1 Tim 3:7) — Maintaining an honorable reputation in the broader community.
5️⃣ "Restore in the spirit of meekness" (Gal 6:1) — Handling fallen brethren with humility aimed at private restoration, never public shaming.
Crimes go to law enforcement (Romans 13), personal offenses go to private confrontation (Matthew 18:15), and believers are commanded to guard their mouths (Leviticus 19:16). Let’s stick to God’s blueprint!
