Is Door-to-Door Soul-Winning Actually Biblical?

In Bible times, the disciples didn't walk down grid-system suburban streets, knocking on strangers' private doors. They went straight to the bustling public market centers—the Agora—because that was where the community gathered daily to trade, discuss ideas, and hear news. The scriptures command us to preach publicly and to herald the message like a town crier, meeting people in the open squares of life.

By definition, marketing is simply showing up where the people are concentrated so they can hear your message. In the ancient world, that meant the physical market center. But today, our culture has fundamentally shifted. People live inside gated developments and subdivisions that put up explicit markers reading No Soliciting and No Religion.

God, in His infinite wisdom, knew that a door-to-door method would eventually run into these cultural walls. Because some modern groups elevated a temporary method to the level of a divine mandate, they even dragged these neighborhood disputes straight into the court system just to defend the right to knock on doors.

But look at the reality: the internet is everywhere now, and our digital platforms have become the brand-new, modern public marketplace. When we use media, podcasts, and online streaming, we are standing right on the modern housetops. We are scattering the seed globally and letting the pure Word of God hit every type of soil. Let's adapt our methods with wisdom, focus entirely on winning souls, trust God completely to take care of the church finances, and leave the results to Him.
